November, What A Month! The Bluebird team have been busy attending many amazing events within the community. We attended the UDIA Awards, Cycled for Charity, and spoke at the ULI Speak Easy Event!
UDIA Awards
Our Co-founder Riye had the honour of presenting the UDIA Women in Leadership Award to Sandra Browne from Cottee Parker Architects. Congratulations!
This award acknowledges and promotes the role of women in the development industry. Bluebird supports female professionals across all disciplines of the development industry and will always continue to encourage females to pursue their careers in development.
In addition to this, KubUnity - by Paul Michael Property Ventures won the Affordable Housing Award. They were also a finalist for Project Of The Year 2021 - Congratulations to KubUnity.
Charity Bike Ride - Chain Reaction
Early in November, Claire O’Rourke completed a 360km charity bike ride over three days to raise money for two kids’ charities – Traction and White Ribbon Australia. Both provide great early intervention and support programs to help kids get their lives on track.
In total the charity Chain Reaction raised $370,000, which was an incredible effort that would not have been possible without your generous contributions.
So, this is a quick note to say THANK YOU for your corporate sponsorship, donations, purchase of raffle tickets and attending our fundraising events.
The ripple of effect of these funds will have a lasting impact on many kids lives – and in turn you also have some great karma out there too!!

ULI Australia Speakeasy Event Brisbane
Claire O’Rourke, Cofounder of Bluebird, attended the ULI Speakeasy Brisbane event earlier this month along with Alison Quinn and Don O'Rorke.
The topic of discussion was Perspectives on Post COVID Strategy. The evening provided great value and an opportunity for genuine engagement with like minded people in the industry. Thanks to everyone involved.
