Bluebird Year in Review 2020

Wow! 2020 has been a total rollercoaster, yet an extremely rewarding year for team Bluebird!

In January, we never expected the year would pan out the way it did with COVID-19, state borders closing and city-wide lockdowns. We were concerned for our friends, family and colleagues, and our wider industry.

In March and April, all signs pointed to our economy being decimated. And yet here we sit in December with a robust Queensland residential property market, with some suburbs even posting over 20% growth! On top of that, the economy has already emerged from recession, and national unemployment rates are lower than first expected at 6.9%.

Through all of this, the Bluebird team have thrived! We have worked across 20 projects, with a total projected value of $1.23 billion! A total of 115 dwellings have been completed, with an end value of $62.5 million. We have partnered with 17 new clients and been a part of 14 development and building applications throughout the year. (We're looking forward to a much-needed Christmas break!).

This year we also rebranded Bluebird, moved into our new James Street office and celebrated our 2nd birthday - all big events that we feel privileged to have accomplished. And last but definitely not least, we grew our team, welcoming two new additions, Ella (our Marketing Manager Extraordinaire) and Kate (our Development Manager Wonderwoman!).

Thank you for your support throughout the year, it's been wonderful to continue growing with you all. We truly hope, after the year we've all had, that you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
