Out and About in June

From the Bluebird Power Lunch to the Future Directions: ‘Battle of the Burbs’, see what we’ve been up to below!

Bluebird Power Lunch

As part of the Property Council's #FridaysInTheCity initiative, the Bluebird team invited some of our favourite collaborators and incredibly inspiring women to #OPA for an afternoon of conversation, seafood, wine and great views. We're honoured to be surrounded by such a talented and fantastic group of women - what a turnout!

Taking the time to connect with industry leaders and friends was the best way to close out a busy week and we're looking forward to more afternoons just like this.

Future Directions: ‘Battle of the Burbs’

This month Bluebird’s Kate Cornwell and Rachel Madgwick attended the Future Directions ‘Battle of the Burbs’ event.

With the Brisbane residential market hitting new heights and sparking interest in our demographic, what better way to understand the market than to hear it firsthand from some of the best in the industry over a light-hearted Northside vs Southside debate!

Residential - Supply and Demand Equation

Bluebird attended the Property Council of Australia SEQ Residential Supply and Demand Lunch. Great discussion around opportunities, challenges and trends.

At the event Riye noted some key take-outs for SEQ:

  • SEQ has the affordability advantage and great lifestyle

  • Olympics - great for sentiment and ‘Golden Decade’

  • Employment and jobs growth is strong

  • Interstate population growth is strong, follows job growth

  • Housing supply is critical, zoning land, getting infrastructure in

  • Economy needs to be driven by people power

  • Need for a bold infrastructure plan

  • Overall optimistic for the next 10yrs

Great to hear Nerida Conisbee, Alex Levy, Kerry Doss, Adrian Allen, Michael Stone!
