We feel it’s important when getting to know our business, that our clients also know the minds of the two Co-Founders behind the Bluebird operation.
Today we are talking to Riye and Claire, the creators of Bluebird, about what makes a successful project and how Bluebird are paving the way for a new approach to development.
Riye and Claire met over 10 years ago on their first day at Mirvac as Development Managers. The two bonded over their mutual love of property and quickly realised how their skillset complemented one another. Over the years, the two discussed leaving the corporate world to create a more significant impact on the broader development community.
Bluebird is a product of those many conversations, and years of experience and observations - seeing the lack of a holistic approach and bespoke offering in the property development space. Both Riye and Claire are firm believers that there is a different way to go about development, one that focuses on win-win outcomes, collaboration and innovation.
Today Bluebird aligns with projects that reflect the company vision: Placemaking that creates positive and enduring social, economic and environmental outcomes for our communities.
Riye and Claire work together across all aspects of the business and project types. When it comes to individual projects, the duo tend to play to their particular strengths. Riye largely focuses on upfront site analysis and acquisition, DA approval strategies and sales and marketing phases. And Claire plays to her extensive experience in property finance, design and construction management, and project delivery.
We ask Riye and Claire what makes a successful project?
Claire explains, “Our developments will always endeavour to leave a positive and lasting impact on the community and the environment. We strive to deliver legacies and projects that give more than they take – providing more sustainable and socially-connected spaces”.
