Co-founder Riye Arai-Coupe on Helix Legal’s Essential Series

Last month, Co-founder and Partner Riye Arai-Coupe was a guest on Helix Legal’s Essential Series speaking on the importance of Bluebird’s strategic but human approach to development management and project advisory. In the hour-long live session, with hosts Michael Chesterman and Janelle Kerrisk, Riye spoke on all things Bluebird and property development.

“Our business is relationship driven…with every single client that we work with, we make sure first and foremost that our values align. We are not going to come in and only talk about the financial metrics of a project, we are here for legacy, we are here for enjoyment, we are here to see ‘the right thing’ by the buyers, the sellers, the stakeholders, the project team and the community. This human approach gives Bluebird’s it’s niche.”

When asked what different processes Bluebird has in the management process of our projects, Riye spoke on how our natural and human approach is not only an overarching attitude, but a detailed methodology that weaves through the entire development process. For example, with our approach to community engagement, “this initially shows up through the first contact with potential clients, were we carefully assess if they and their project align with our business values. Then later, through our dedicated and personal community engagement methods where we personally connect to the community.”
